Job Type: Permanent employment, Full time, 40 hours per week Location: Oakville, ON; Milton, ON (On site) Salary: $250,000 to $300,000 per year (negotiable) Start date: As soon as possible Responsibilities Collect medical information from patients, family members, or other medical professionals Examine patients’ health condition to identify diseases and injuries Help patients develop healthy habits, break old habits and reshape their approach to wellness Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures to determine the most appropriate medical treatment Consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health Prescribe and administer medications and treatments Perform and assist in routine surgery Participate in health care policy and planning Advise patients on health care Hire and train staff Supervise staff Be the patient advocate Co‑coordinate or manage primary patient care Provide acute care management Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues Provide emergency care Perform human resources related duties such as personnel selection Qualifications Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry Licensure: Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years Specialization: Family counselling, Internal medicine Security: Criminal record check Work Conditions Fast‑paced environment; work under pressure Physically demanding: standing for extended periods, walking, bending, crouching, kneeling Attention to detail, hand‑eye coordination, ability to distinguish colours Large caseload and workload; repetitive tasks Personal Suitability Accurate, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills Excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement Organized, reliability, team player, values and ethics Benefits Dental plan, Disability benefits, Health care plan, Vision care benefits Bonus, Commission Free parking available Who can apply for this job?
