Lead Full Stack Developer

Lead Full Stack Developer (Python/Node.js) Join to apply for the Lead Full Stack Developer (Python/Node.js) role at RBC . What is the opportunity? As a full stack developer, you will build and manage data platforms and pipelines for Data Science, ensuring data governance and security. You will work with data scientists and peer data engineers to solve business problems and deliver value using agile methodology. You will collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to maintain scalable data pipelines and democratize data. You will participate in architecture reviews and approvals, work closely with data scientists on ingestion and feature engineering, establish coding best practices, maintain technical documentation, and handle incident triage and resolution. What will you do? Develop responsive web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Collaborate with designers and backend developers to deliver high‑quality products. Work with Data Scientists, Process Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to develop data pipelines and support prescriptive and predictive analytics. Optimize applications for speed and scalability. Ensure cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness. Mentor junior team members. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of hands‑on experience: Data engineering solutions: Python, SQL Server, Hadoop, Spark. API: Flask, Node.js, Django, microservices technologies, FastAPI. Automation/DevOps: GitHub Actions, Airflow, UCD, Selenium, and similar technologies. Cloud technologies: OpenShift, PCF, Docker, Kubernetes, ServiceNow. Git & code version management. Familiarity with RESTful API development and integration. Strong SQL skills and database design knowledge. Experience with at least one modern front‑end framework (React, Angular, or Vue.js). Understanding of asynchronous programming and event‑driven architectures. Understanding of UI/UX principles and proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+). Experience using UI/UX tools such as Figma, Balsamiq. Nice‑to‑have: Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, etc.). Knowledge of build tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.). Security frameworks: LDAP, Kerberos, OAuth 2.0, Vault integration. Knowledge of AWS. Knowledge of VMs. Tableau experience. What's in it for you?
