Build hands-on manufacturing experience handling inks, press materials, and equipment as a Printing Press Assistant at C-P Flexible Packaging. Shift work is required.
This Press Helper role supports operators producing flexible packaging for food industry customers. Responsibilities span press setup, ink unit washing, material movement, waste handling, and roller removal. You will read job dockets, follow directions, and work independently within established procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operators during printing press setup and operation
- Manage inks and wash ink units
- Transport ink pails with proper roll carts
- Move rolls using appropriate lifting equipment
- Read job dockets and follow operator instructions
Requirements:
- Basic mechanical knowledge for pressroom tasks
- Ability to understand and follow written instructions
- Basic writing and communication skills
- Comfort working independently within established procedures
- Availability for days, afternoons, and midnights
