Family Physician 0.25-0.75 FTE – Cross Lake First Nation Hourly Range: $237.32 On-call stipend, Meal per Diem and Additional Hours Site Description Cross Lake: 770 kilometers north of Winnipeg Year round road access, approximately 9 hours’ drive each way. In-province travel and accommodations covered by organization. Out of province travel paid with physicians holding 0.25 FTE (5-7 days monthly) or higher. Out of province travel paid for locum providers with a commitment of 2 consecutive weeks (12 days). Qualifications Must hold licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba, or eligible for licensure. Current membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Certifications Must have current Advanced Life Support (ACLS Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) (within 6 months of hire) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 6 months of hire) Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)(within 6 months of hire) Indigenous cultural awareness course (within 6 months of hire) Manitoba Opioid Antagonist Therapy (OAT) course or equivalent is encouraged Skills/Abilities Strong health assessment and clinical skills are required Excellent leadership, critical thinking and collaborative interpersonal skills Must be self-motivated and able to work independently, working as a member of a health care team alongside extended practice nurses, paramedics and other allied professionals Must demonstrate an appreciation of Indigenous worldviews, cultures and be sensitive in providing anti-racist, trauma-informed care. Must be able to prioritize, manage time effectively and be flexible. Must possess a dependable, consistent and reliable work record, including attendance at work.
