The Agile Business Analyst plays a crucial role in aligning business needs with technology solutions, ensuring that projects deliver tangible value to the organization. Working closely with stakeholders and development teams as the IT product owner, this role is responsible for gathering and analyzing business requirements, refining user stories, and supporting the delivery of high-quality solutions in an agile environment. We’re looking for someone analytical, collaborative, and adaptable—someone who thrives on problem-solving, values clear communication, and can translate complex business needs into actionable insights. Experience with Agile methodologies is required. In this role, you’ll play a key part in driving process improvements, shaping business requirements, and supporting agile initiatives that contribute to organizational success. Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Process Design Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document new business requirements. Design and optimize business workflows and processes to improve efficiency and productivity. Identify bottlenecks or inefficient workflows and develop effective, scalable solutions. Document business processes, workflows, and system interactions in detail. Ensure alignment between business goals and technical solutions. Support integration initiatives across enterprise systems (Yardi, Prism, VTS, OneStream) to maintain data consistency and seamless process flow. Partner with IT and third‑party vendors to troubleshoot interface issues and optimize data synchronization. Collaborate with regional teams across Canada, Europe, and ANZ to harmonize processes and align configurations. Contribute to product roadmaps and feature prioritization in collaboration with the Product Delivery Manager. Agile Delivery & Collaboration Work closely with cross‑functional teams throughout the Agile lifecycle—from sprint planning to retrospectives. Collaborate with the Product Delivery Manager to define, maintain, and prioritize the product backlog. Translate business goals into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria. Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as requirements workshops, user story mapping, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by validating that developed features meet business needs. Track progress, dependencies, and risks within assigned initiatives, escalating issues as required. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices within Agile delivery. System Management & Support Develop, test, and troubleshoot custom reports and workflows. Coordinate with internal IT teams and third‑party vendors on system upgrades, testing, and issue resolution. Document new solutions, configurations, and reporting designs. Provide end‑user support, resolve technical issues, and maintain platform continuity and data integrity. Participate in governance and change management processes for configuration updates and enhancements. Training & Documentation Organize and deliver training sessions for end users on new processes, workflows, and system updates. Develop and maintain training materials and documentation to support knowledge transfer and user adoption. Promote consistent use of process documentation and change logs across projects. Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an Agile environment. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe). Experience with Yardi, ERP systems, or CRM systems. Familiarity with Power BI and data reporting concepts. Experience with Visio or similar process mapping tools. Proven ability to write clear and testable user stories and acceptance criteria. Experience with Agile tools such as Azure DevOps or equivalent. Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Preferred Qualifications (an asset, not required) Certification in Agile (e.g., IIBA‑AAC, CSPO, CSM, PMI‑ACP). Experience in a fintech, real estate, or property management environment. Experience in data analysis or SQL. Familiarity with VTS, Prism, OneStream, Emburse, and Workday. Exposure to automation or workflow tools such as Monday.com or low‑code platforms.
