Develop municipal design experience with the City of Niagara Falls, using AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and manual drawing skills. This full-time placement supports real public projects.
As a Landscape Architecture Student, you will assist municipal Landscape Architects and the Landscape Coordinator. Your work will support parks, streetscapes, and natural areas through design documentation and research. The four-month January-to-April 2027 term may possibly extend to August 2027.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research projects supporting design and decision-making
- Assist with reports, estimates, and construction specifications
- Complete stakeholder information requests across municipal departments
- Deliver notifications and maintain project records
- Assist with public engagement activities and presentations
Requirements:
- Full-time post-secondary Landscape Architecture enrollment or recent graduation
- Introductory experience with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
- Introductory experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
- Strong manual or digital drawing rendering skills preferred
- Ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision
Use landscape design, research, and software skills while contributing to Niagara Falls municipal planning and project delivery.
