Unload trucks, verify merchandise, and manage freight accuracy as a Receiving Associate with The Home Depot Canada. This role emphasizes safe, organized warehouse work.
Receiving Associates work within a team to unload inbound merchandise and compare quantities and quality against purchase orders. You will enter receiving information using store systems and tools, including First Phone. The role includes powered lift equipment, stocking, customer assistance, and order picking when assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unload inbound freight using designated equipment
- Compare documents, labels, quantities, and merchandise quality
- Enter receiving information into store systems
- Stock merchandise and maintain organized receiving areas
- Identify customer needs through questions and greetings
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of receiving experience
- Attention to detail and commitment to procedures
- Ability to use powered lift equipment when licensed
- Ability to lift and move heavy, bulky items
