If you want to grow with us, make an impact, and shape the future of Ice Cream, this is the place for you JOB PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to oversee that the plant is in compliance in the space of Refrigeration requirements along with a team of Refrigeration operators. Manage and control the Building Maintenance / Facilities and Assigned Projects in the plant and be responsible for all associated issues including all labor issues, equipment breakdown repair, preventative maintenance and associated systems, monitoring and control of all applicable costs, OEM and contractor management. Responsibilities Overseeing and agreeing contracts and providers for utility, WWTP & Building maintenance services while optimizing cost and operations. Set-up, maintain and be responsible for critical plant equipment (including but not limited to: air compressors, chillers, boilers hot water tanks). Responsible for interior and exterior Building & Structure including grounds (parking lots, lawn/garden maintenance, snow removal, etc), Freezers, steam/condensate return lines, etc; inspection routines, job scheduling, training and identification of plant improvement plans for improved efficiencies and yield. Ensure that basic facilities, such as water, cooling, ice cream freezers, heating and WWTP are well-maintained and equipment are in compliance with Local Regulatory & UL Standards and MP compliance. Supervise the Facilities and Project functions and ensure that assignments are carried out in an efficient and safe manner. Perform audits of in-process and coordinate with applicable teams for raising and closing Work Orders. Plan and support the execution of periodic inspection, maintenance including adjustment, calibration, or maintenance of heating and refrigeration plant control equipment. (following ICMS PM pillar / Utilities) Allocate work schedules and inspection routines to all the refrigeration operators in accordance with regulatory technical and safety codes and ensure proper compliance of regulatory codes as per government guidelines. Responsible for training programs for upgrading knowledge / skills on utility management and plant safety aspects as per the department training execution plan. Manage & provide short/long-term direction for Facility Maintenance Upgrades/Repairs (Operational and Capital expenditure), administering budgetary requirements and control relevant expenditures in a cost-effective way according to the site budget for site repairs, resources, direct labor, overtime and contractors etc. Collaborate with leadership on long-term strategic plans in the space of areas responsible. Overseeing building projects and renovations as needed. Optimizing processes in the space of Utilities, WWTP, Building maintenance to optimize cost. Actively collaborating with the Plants losses for Utilities and provide / lead projects to that would improve delivery and optimize costs. Responsible to make sure responsible work areas are maintained and operated to expected company standards. Responsible for all relevant SSHEQ & operational standard compliance. What you need to succeed TSSA Refrigeration A Certification (mandatory) HVAC Experience Hands-on experience with Ammonia compressors, chillers, and refrigeration systems Knowledge of Wastewater Treatment Plant operations Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM) standards Experience working with TSSA regulations and compliance Experience in Ice Cream or similar cold-chain manufacturing environments (factory and warehouse) Proven track record in completing infrastructure projects relevant to Ammonia systems Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety codes Communication proficiency in English Excellent communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in project management and project delivery, including: Supplier assessment and capability evaluation, Risk assessments, FAT and SAT execution, Assessment and validation of in-house and co-manufacturing operations Contract management and conflict resolution skills Capex management experience Ability to manage and develop machine specifications and project management networks Knowledge of energy optimization and cost control strategies Leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams Leadership Qualities Ability to lead with clarity and confidence in a fast-paced environment Strong decision-making and prioritization skills under pressure Collaborative mindset—works effectively across teams and functions Ownership mentality—drives accountability and continuous improvement Commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence What you can expect A unique mix of global scale & start-up spirit—€7.9 bn powerhouse with an agile, entrepreneurial mindset.
