As a Senior Structural Engineer at Madison Taylor Design, you will play a critical role in overseeing the structural integrity and design of custom residential and commercial projects. Key Responsibilities Structural Design Leadership: Lead the design and engineering of structural systems for custom residential and commercial projects, ensuring safety, durability, and sustainability in all designs. Collaboration with Architecture and Design Teams: Work closely with architects and designers to integrate structural elements with overall building aesthetics and functionality, contributing to the project’s seamless design. Project Management: Oversee the structural engineering aspects of projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget adherence, and compliance with local building codes and regulations. Technical Oversight: Perform detailed analysis, calculations, and reviews of structural systems, ensuring optimal design and performance. Client Interaction: Serve as the primary point of contact on structural-related issues, offering expertise and advice to maintain high client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Sustainability Integration: Incorporate sustainable engineering practices into designs, ensuring energy-efficient, environmentally responsible solutions are implemented. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in structural engineering with a focus on custom, large-scale residential projects. Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master’s degree preferred). Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification. Experience with Revit an asset Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and construction techniques, including sustainable practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams. Proven experience leading projects, managing budgets, and meeting deadlines.
