We are in high growth mode and looking for a Transportation Team Lead in Ottawa who shares our Customer Obsessed mindset. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of a wide range of goods, lead a team of warehouse associates, coordinate activities, and maintain high standards of safety, quality, and productivity. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a background in logistics or warehouse management, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Role Details Position: Full Time Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 7am to 3:30pm Location: Ottawa Must have a driver’s license and own vehicle. Key Responsibilities Staging and sorting of items, palletizing, and crating Provide regular reports on transportation performance and key metrics (SLAs) to the operations leadership Use tools including scanners, carts, hand trucks, and dollies Daily submission and completion of all required documentation accurately Follow all 5S processes consistently and effectively Create an inspiring team environment with open communication Train new employees on company standards and procedures Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of warehouse associates Assign tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and productivity Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback Implement and maintain warehouse processes to maximize efficiency Enforce safety standards and protocols to ensure a safe working environment Address and resolve issues related to damaged or missing goods Liaise with procurement, account management, and customer service to coordinate activities Communicate effectively with team members, management, and external partners Travel to other facilities required on a semi-regular basis Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team lead position Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Proficient in warehouse management software and Google Suite Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Requirements Must have driver’s license and own vehicle Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50 lbs Prolonged periods of standing and walking Why Join Us?
