Director of Architecture

Toronto, Canada TEEMA Full time

We are looking for an exceptional leader with a strong background in architecture and technology. The ideal candidate will have experience deploying products into multiple client environments and a deep understanding of integration platforms and architectures. Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with HL7 and FHIR, is preferred but not required.

This role is remote but candidates must be based in Toronto and be willing go on-site as/when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the architecture team and drive architectural decisions that align with business goals.
  • Deploy products into multiple client environments, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the architecture team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development and architecture
  • Experience with integration platforms and architectures, including microservices, message-driven patterns, and event-based architectures.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure architecture, IaaS, and PaaS models.
  • Experience with Enterprise Data Architecture, data modeling, and data management.
  • Java development background, Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Saas based products
  • Experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of HL7 and FHIR is a plus
  • Architecture and technology certifications such as TOGAF, ITIL, CISSP
