Put your future in motion Responsibilities Primary Purpose Provides strategic oversight of sourcing and contract‑vendor management activities across category teams with an emphasis on continuous improvement initiatives through active monitoring of cycle times and KPIs of end‑to‑end sourcing and contract‑vendor management activities, and resolution of deviations to standards. Key contact for customer escalations. Ensures effective implementation of procurement management approach including procurement planning and allocation of resources, huddle boards and problem register within category teams. Develops and supports vendor management program. Analyzes opportunities for improvement, including resource requirements, prioritization, calculating and delivering on benefits realization and reporting. Develops and maintains supply chain quarterly and annual reports. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders. Oversees functional and technical support teams responsible for strategic sourcing and contract‑vendor management systems, processes and procedures. Key Accountabilities Acts as a liaison and key contact for Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management customer escalations from across the Enterprise. Implements and supports the development and implementation of procurement project management approaches across strategic sourcing & contract‑vendor management functions including effective procurement and resource planning tools and processes. Actively monitors and proactively addresses cycle time and key‑performance indicator (KPI) deviations from standard for end‑to‑end processes across all categories. Analyze department business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend solutions for optimization. Identifies opportunities for improvement from huddle boards, applies prioritization for opportunities and identifies resource requirements for implementation of improvement opportunities including calculating and delivering on benefits realization and reporting. Collaborates with cross‑functional teams to implement optimization or transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Develops and implements change management strategies (including identify and mitigate risks and obstacles) to support the successful implementation of optimization or transformation initiatives. Maintains (or develops where required) procurement scorecards, vendor performance management scorecards, and supply chain reports (monthly / quarterly / annually) including creating, maintaining, or overseeing dashboards or other reporting systems and tools as may be required. Oversees functional and technical support teams responsible for vendor management, strategic sourcing and contract‑vendor management systems and department processes and procedures. Prepares presentation and reporting materials and facilitate meetings with both internal and external stakeholders. Stays up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in procurement optimization and transformation. Qualifications Education and Experience: The requirements for this position are acquired through completion of a bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Law, Finance, or related field of study, plus (8) years of experience in complex procurement, contract management, commercial management and / or category management. Preferred Qualifications: LEAN Green Belt or higher certification, and change management PROSCI or similar certifications. Other Requirements: Analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills along with business acumen to advise, consult and facilitate business process transformation, automation, change management, and strong knowledge of project management principles. Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing business optimization / continuous improvement. Advanced knowledge of financial and business analysis along with critical thinking skills to identify strategic risks and opportunities and to perform a key role in strategic planning of processes and system delivery. Strong background in Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Procurement practices along with Source‑to‑Contract and ERP systems. Advanced interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills to provide specialized expertise, advice, guidance, and influence, and to function as a change agent with advanced organizational and time management skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional environment and build strong relationships with team members and stakeholders. Solid knowledge of standard office tools including work processing and spreadsheet software, project management software and database applications. Solid leadership, development and team building skills to manage team members. Continuous learning mindset, with a passion for staying updated with industry trends and best practices. Work Schedule 37.5 hours per week. Work Designation Hybrid This position offers the flexibility of working both on‑site and remotely within B.C. Rate of Pay The salary for this position ranges from $117,600 - $176,400 per annum. Actual salary offered will be based on education, experience, skills, and qualifications as they relate to the role.
