Job Description The IT Project Manager oversees projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with PMBOK standards and organizational strategy. The role manages project scope, schedule, budget, quality, resources, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. The Project Manager mentors emerging project managers and business analysts, fostering best practices across the organization. Responsibilities Provides leadership and direction to the project team; ensures cross‑functional collaboration and alignment with project objectives. Drives business case development and investment justification; leads the full lifecycle of projects, from pre‑project activities through initiation, execution, and closure, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Coordinates day‑to‑day project activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and in sequence; facilitates risk, issue, and change management processes. Engages internal and external stakeholders, partners and suppliers to define requirements and drive project delivery; prepares and delivers progress reports and executive‑level updates. Manages risk and issues registers, proactively addressing obstacles; leads post‑project reviews and applies insights to enhance future delivery. Qualifications 3‑5 years related experience at progressive levels of responsibility. College, Trade or Tech School Diploma (2 years) in a related discipline; bachelor’s degree preferred. Project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince 2, or equivalent) preferred. Strong organizational, presentation, and advanced communication skills (written & verbal). Ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and drive projects to meet objectives and timelines. Analytical and problem‑solving skills for issue resolution and decision‑making. Expertise in budget planning, cost control, and financial approvals. Skilled in planning, scheduling, and digital collaboration tools (MS Project, SharePoint, DevOps, Miro, Teams, etc.). Strong business acumen for IT and business project alignment. Advanced knowledge of IT concepts, theories, and project management practices. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams.
