We are seeking a skilled Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Mechanic to support the maintenance, inspection, and repair of airport ground support equipment. This role involves working in both hangar and outdoor environments , supporting safe and efficient airside operations. Key Responsibilities Perform maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Ensure all equipment is serviced and maintained in accordance with approved maintenance programs Execute preventive maintenance and overhaul programs Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, including brakes and controls Prepare parts lists, order required parts, and complete work orders documenting labor and materials used Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment Review and follow company, regulatory, and safety manuals relevant to assigned work Report safety issues through established safety management systems Support daily maintenance assignments as directed by supervisors Perform other related duties as required Key Competencies & Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for component replacements Ability to operate high lifts, forklifts, and airside equipment Comfortable working at heights and on ladders Must supply personal hand tools and toolbox required for the Automotive Service Technician trade Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong knowledge of GSE maintenance procedures and inspection systems Familiarity with GSE materials, parts, and safety protocols Proficient in the use of measuring instruments and diagnostic test equipment Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and time-management skills Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills, including MS Word and Excel Education, Training & Certifications 310S or 310T Automotive Service Technician License Red Seal Automotive Service Technician or Red Seal Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Minimum Qualifications Post-secondary education Valid Provincial Driver's License Ability to obtain: Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) Airside Vehicle Operator's Permit (AVOP) Physically capable of performing all assigned duties without accommodation Work Environment Work performed in hangar and outdoor airport environments Access to restricted airport areas required Rotational shift work covering 7 days a week
