What you can expect to do here Lead complex mechanical design projects from start to finish, applying technical expertise. Ensure design documents meet National, Provincial and Municipal Codes and Standards. Responsible for engineering design including calculations, specifications and drawings for HVAC, Piping, Steam, Plumbing, Drainage, Fire Protection, Fuel Oil, Medical Gases and Building Automation Systems. Research and implement new technology designs to meet client objectives. Utilize industry‑specific software for design and analysis. Manage contract administration and client services monitoring. Mentor junior and intermediate team members. Coordinate with agencies for project approvals and permitting as needed. Participate in proposal preparation activities. What you’ll bring to WSP Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution or equivalent. 10+ years of consulting mechanical design engineering experience for Canadian healthcare buildings, leading design for complex Class A healthcare facilities. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems for healthcare facilities. Proficient in CSA Z317.1 and CSA Z317.2 standards. Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.). LEED Accreditation and sustainable design experience highly desirable. Proficient in AutoCAD, Carrier Hourly Analysis (HAP) software, Microsoft Office; MEP Revit highly desirable. Experience with P3 projects on client or constructor side desirable. Proficiency with Bluebeam Studio an asset.
