As a Laboratory Technician under supervision, you will utilize your chemistry education in a hands-on laboratory environment. Responsibilities include preparing samples, performing analyses, and maintaining instruments. You will also follow SOPs, engage in method validation, and ensure lab safety standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare samples and perform extractions for testing
• Analyze samples and enter data into the LIMS system
• Maintain laboratory equipment through regular checks
• Manage consumables inventory and order supplies
• Follow quality assurance procedures in the lab
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in a chemistry-related field
• Basic computer skills for data entry and analysis
• Training in laboratory safety and WHMIS
• Technical knowledge of analytical test methods
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and work standing
