Sales Compensation Analyst

AutoTrader.ca, a leading Canadian automotive marketplace, seeks a Sales Compensation Analyst to support our Sales Operations Team. The role works within the AutoTrader.ca platform, which attracts over 25 million visits each month. Key Areas of Responsibility Manage the sales compensation platform “Anaplan” and perform system admin duties. Maintain data integration, validation of transferred data, and sales organization hierarchy to ensure revenue reporting accuracy. Manage the Targets module and the sales compensation process (OTE/OVP) for accurate commission payment across different sales roles. Recommend and lead platform enhancements (new features, reports, dashboards) and expansions, including adding new roles into Anaplan. Prepare and distribute reports (statistical data) from outside and inside sales operations teams nationally, providing daily, weekly, and monthly updates to the Director. Perform ongoing analysis of performance by individual and by team, analyze trends, and recommend changes to assignments to improve performance and support campaign planning. Manage ad‑hoc reporting/analysis for the Sales & Service Operations team and collaborate cross‑functionally to support projects and process improvement. Support the Sales Operations team with processes and system knowledge; lead, coach, and delegate tasks and act as the subject‑matter expert. Ensure current processes are relevant, recommend updates, and manage escalation to the Director as needed. Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an analyst function. Experience with Anaplan (strongly preferred) or other sales compensation platforms. Strong analytical and computer skills – advanced Excel, ERP systems, database theory, and ability to extract information into user‑friendly formats. Advanced Excel skills. Minimum 2+ years of relevant CRM experience. Experience working with Salesforce. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under minimal supervision. Self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and learn quickly. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to draw conclusions and communicate recommendations. Previous leadership and coaching experience (asset).
