Auto Body Technician

Overview CSN Brimell and Formula is looking for an Auto Body Technician to join our team. Our Auto Body Technician must be able to take a vehicle in a damaged state and repair or restore damaged vehicles to their original structural integrity, function, and appearance. The incumbent is detail oriented and can multitask to accommodate shifting priorities. The technician reports to the Production Manager. Responsibilities Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed Thoroughly examine collision damage, review exterior body parts, check power accessories (doors, locks, windows, mirrors) for operation, and ensure dash panel has no warning lights; identify any prior damages on QA checklist or supplemental damage sheet Perform structural and complete body repairs: repair and replace front end components, body components, doors, frame and underbody components; assess, repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components, and vehicle accessories Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment; hammer out dents and defects Weld on vehicles using MIG welders and compression spot welders Fully dismantle damaged areas to identify hidden damages; remove damaged fenders, panels and grills; repair or replace damaged windows, windshields and sunroof File, grind and sand repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams Restore vehicle to factory specifications and test drive for proper handling Read and understand estimates; comprehend automotive repair procedures Work with a variety of metals and plastics, as well as glass, electrical and mechanical parts Experience using frame and measuring equipment; experience with disassembly and reassembly of vehicles Follow standardized production processes Be a great CSN ambassador Perform other duties as assigned by management Qualifications Auto Body Repair 3+ years required Auto Body Collision and Damage Repairer license is favorable Technicians with I-CAR and OEM certifications are favorable Carrying, lifting up to 100 lbs; standing, sitting, walking, reaching Valid driver’s license required Must have own tools and safety footwear Benefits Health & Dental including a drug plan Schedule 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Career Path: As CSN continues to grow, other career opportunities may become available.
