As a **5 Tonne Truck Driver** , you will be responsible for the timely and safe **delivery** of food products throughout **Ottawa, Ontario** and the surrounding areas. This is a permanent position in a fast-paced environment where safety and customer service are paramount.# **Compensation and Benefits**- **Salary:** **$21.00 per hour**- **Schedule:** Full-Time, permanent, Monday-Friday (5:30 am - 3:30 pm)- **Comprehensive Benefits:** Medical, Dental, Vision (after 30 days of continuous service)- **Additional Perks:** RRSP Program, Employee Purchase Program, Profit Sharing, Team-based Work Environment, and Commitment to Safety.# **Key Responsibilities/What You Will Do**- Execute scheduled **deliveries** of fresh produce to Foodservice customers (restaurants, institutions, etc.).- Safely operate and maintain a **5 Tonne Truck** (Straight Truck) on urban and regional routes.- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring **transportation** and **logistics** compliance.- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety protocols, including load security and handling procedures.- Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs and collect necessary documentation.- Accurately track deliveries and maintain electronic or paper **logs** as required.# **Required Qualifications/Skills**- Proven experience as a **Delivery Driver** or in a similar **transportation** role is highly preferred.- Valid **Ontario Driver's License** (G or equivalent).- Clean commercial vehicle operator's registration ( **CVOR** ) and **Driver's Abstract** (Must be provided).- Physical capability to lift and move up to **50 lbs** frequently during the loading and delivery process.- Flexibility to work the required schedule (Mon-Fri, 5:30 am - 3:30 pm), with availability for occasional Saturdays.We thank all applicants for their interest, however only those selected for the next stage will be contacted.
