montreal administrative region, qc, Canada Serotina Media Inc. Full-time

TLDR: Serotina is hiring a Junior Videographer & Video Editor to shoot, edit and polish social-first video for our clients. This is a part-time or full-time role. If you have a real editing craft, a reel that shows it, and you want to grow inside a fast-moving agency, we want to meet you.

About Us

We're a fast-growing creative social media agency working with brands that care about impact, not just impressions. We blend strong storytelling with results-driven strategy to help our clients build trust, connect with their audience, and grow authentically.

We move fast, we work smart, and we don't do fluff.

Who You Are

You're a videographer and editor who treats social video as real craft. You know how to light a shot, capture clean audio, cut with intention, and deliver work that looks professional on a phone screen. You're just as comfortable running a quick-turn iPhone shoot as a planned production day, and you know when each one is the right call.

This is a junior role, so we don't expect a long résumé. We do expect polished work, good judgment and a proactive attitude. You'll learn directly from our strategists and account managers while working on real client campaigns.

Location: Montréal, Québec (in-person required, Saint-Laurent + client locations)

What You'll Do

Shoot

  • Capture on-site content with clients: BTS, lifestyle, interviews and talking heads, product and trend-based content.
  • Run both quick-turn iPhone shoots and planned camera shoots, with proper lighting, audio and framing.
  • Shoot natively for TikTok, Instagram Reels and other social-first formats.

Edit

  • Edit short-form video in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, from rough cut to final delivery.
  • Handle pacing, sound design, color correction, captions, text and motion graphics aligned with each brand's tone.
  • Export and format files correctly for every platform, and keep project files organized.

Ideate

  • Contribute hooks, formats and shot ideas based on what's working on social right now.
  • Join brainstorms and bring a fresh, culturally relevant perspective.
  • Spot content opportunities on set and act on them.

Collaborate

  • Work closely with strategists and account managers to align on briefs and deadlines.
  • Support content days, shoots and ongoing client mandates.
  • Take feedback well, turn revisions quickly and communicate early when timelines are tight.

What We're Looking For

Must have

  • A portfolio or reel of finished videos you shot and edited yourself. CapCut-only portfolios won't be considered.
  • Strong editing skills in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut, including sound design, color correction and motion graphics.
  • Experience shooting with a mirrorless or cinema camera and with an iPhone, plus a solid grasp of lighting and audio.
  • A strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels and current social trends.
  • A good eye for composition, angles, pacing and moments.
  • Bilingual: French and English required.
  • Based in Montréal and able to travel to Saint-Laurent and client locations.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and the ability to move quickly in real-time environments.

Nice to have

  • After Effects or other motion graphics experience.
  • Your own camera, audio or lighting kit.
  • Experience on-site with clients or in an agency setting.
  • Comfort on camera for the occasional talking-head or BTS moment.

General

  • Attend in-person content days and occasional team meetings.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly during working hours.
  • Collaborate with the team while taking ownership of your tasks.

Why Join Us

  • Hands-on work on real client campaigns from day one.
