Bereavement days are also available. Pension Plan Full-time employees can join our group pension plan after two consecutive years of employment. Employees contribute 5% of their gross earnings per pay, which the Y, matches. After three consecutive years of service, participation in the YMCA pension plan becomes mandatory for full-time employees. What will you do… You will be a leader in a vibrant early learning community, supporting the growth and development of Educators as they create stimulating, safe and supportive environments for children, parents and caring adults. You will develop and deliver professional learning opportunities that will focus on the planning and implementation of consistent EarlyON services, programs and environments, quality assurance and employee engagement. Your work will ensure that we fulfill our vision and commitment of EarlyON Child and Family Centres locally and provincially, and will reinforce How Does Learning Happen? Ontario’s Pedagogy for the Early Years’ curriculum principles; the Child Care and Early Years Act; the Region of Waterloo Continuous Quality Improvement expectation; YMCA Best Practices; all to support and foster quality excellence. What will you bring… Ideally, you have over 5 years of experience as a Registered Early Childhood Educator working within a child and family support environment and are ready to take on a new challenge at this point in your career. You have experience in Adult Learning and demonstrate leadership that inspires, educates, and motivates others in a learning environment. You have a commitment to working in a socially inclusive environment, responding with sensitivity and personal awareness to diverse needs. You have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport and community effectively with a focus on building strong relationships and partnerships. This role requires regular travel across the region, which may not always be easily accessible through public transit. The employee must be able to arrange their transportation to these sites. A valid G driver’s license and full-time vehicle access are strongly recommended.
