Summer 2026 Student - Business Product Analyst Job Description Please note: This posting is for a 4‑month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and an end date of August 2026. Be returning back to school after the work term end‑date of August 2026; or If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully. The Business Deposits and Liquidity Management (BD&LM) team drives product and policy innovation, strategic pricing, and end‑to‑end ownership of Commercial Banking’s deposit, liquidity, and trade solutions. By collaborating closely with regional leadership, specialized sales, risk, and legal teams, BD&LM is committed to growing portfolio balances at a premium to competitors and delivering market‑leading solutions tailored to the unique needs of business clients. As part of RBC’s Commercial Banking Platform, the BD&LM team empowers businesses of all sizes by providing innovative transaction‑banking solutions to optimize working capital, uncover valuable insights, and drive growth. What will you do? Selected candidates will work in one of the following Product teams, supporting key activities. Business Accounts Work on high‑profile strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, improve client experience, and reduce fraud risks. Assist with analysis and development of business case(s), focusing on digitizing and incorporating AI solutions. Engage in ad‑hoc projects or tasks that align with your skills and interests, as identified during your tenure. Business Deposits Update all product pages and relevant collateral contents related to Deposit products. Help establish a Business Deposits connect site that can be leveraged by frontline staff. Support other evolving priorities and contribute to help support the team. Core Trade Process improvement related work to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, with a focus on data‑driven analysis and process optimization. Flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities and contribute to other duties as needed to support team objectives. Engage in ad‑hoc projects or tasks that align with your skills and interests, as identified during your tenure. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, economics, accounting, or finance. Growth mindset – open to learning, adaptable and always ready to take on new challenges. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent conceptual thinking and problem‑solving skills. Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to navigate and prioritize in a fast‑paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft applications and the ability to source data/research. Nice-to‑have: Prior experience in financial services and ability to manage complex concepts. High level understanding of business deposits, liquidity, and trade products/services.
