Support inclusive learning at Pembina Trails School Division by assisting students with diverse needs, abilities, behavioural challenges, and learning challenges.
As an Educational Assistant 1, you will work under school administrator supervision with input from other professionals. You will collaborate with classroom and resource teachers, provide academic assistance, and foster engagement in classroom learning. The schedule is 3.25 hours per day, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist students in classroom, small group, and individual settings
- Deliver specialized or adapted programming under teacher direction
- Support emotional, behavioural, physical, and educational needs
- Document student-specific program performance
- Use augmentative and alternative communication
Requirements:
- Ability to work within established classroom management structures
- Ability to support students with diverse needs and abilities
- Flexibility adapting to students’ educational programming
- Ability to provide supports for challenging educational needs
- Availability for 3.25 hours per day
