Overview BC Pavilion Corporation (PavCo) is hiring a Director, Procurement . Reporting to the CFO, the Director plays a strategic leadership role in overseeing all aspects of sourcing, supplier relationships, and contract management at PavCo. Using deep expertise in procurement best practices, markets, and cost drivers, this role ensures PavCo secures the best value for goods and services while managing risk and maintaining compliance with public sector requirements. The Director will collaborate with leaders across the organization to shape procurement strategies that support capital projects, operational needs, and PavCo’s long-term vision, while advancing sustainability, diversity, and Indigenous participation in procurement practices. Base pay Base pay range: CA$130,000.00/yr - CA$146,000.00/yr Salary information The salary range for this position is $117,560 - $146,950 WHAT YOU WILL DO Strategy & Leadership: Lead organization-wide procurement strategies, competitive bid processes, and contract negotiations; establish best-in-class procurement methods; and mentor the Procurement team through goal setting, coaching, and performance management. Supplier & Contract Management: Develop and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, shifting focus from transactional to strategic relationships; oversee contract development, negotiation, and compliance; and monitor performance to drive continuous improvement. Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to BC public sector procurement policies, conduct internal audits, and proactively identify and mitigate supply chain risks through alternative sourcing strategies. Collaboration: Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, engaging internal stakeholders early in procurement planning; support capital projects by ensuring procurement policies are followed; and foster a culture of collaboration across the organization. Financial Stewardship: Contribute to financial planning and budgeting, monitor adherence, and track performance against procurement metrics; promote a culture of cost savings through total cost of ownership principles and supplier performance reviews. Reporting & Process Improvement: Consolidate and analyze purchasing data for centralized reporting; maintain dashboards and approved vendor lists; lead policy development and process enhancements to drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and accountability. WHAT YOU WILL BRING An experienced procurement leader with 10+ years in procurement, strategic sourcing, and supply chain management, including leadership roles. University degree in Commerce, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline. Applicants with public sector experience will be given preference. Demonstrated success in negotiating large, complex supplier contracts. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, compliance requirements, and risk management. Extensive experience in contract development, vendor management, and dispute resolution. Proven leadership skills, with experience mentoring and leading teams. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position is $117,560 - $146,950 Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
