Job Description CIMA+’s Buildings team is renowned for expertise in designing high‑quality buildings. We provide cost‑effective solutions to engineering challenges across all stages of projects, supporting clients and design teams across Canada. As a Senior Building Electrical Engineer in our Gatineau office, you will manage projects of various scopes and develop solutions tailored to customer needs. You will oversee the design, inspection, and implementation of electrical systems for multidisciplinary projects on office, commercial, industrial, municipal and government buildings, as well as sports and recreational facilities. Primary Responsibilities Contribute to the electrical engineering group's technical expertise to meet client needs. Analyze and solve complex problems, identify appropriate work methods and guidelines, and coordinate project completion. Maintain professional relationships with clients, key industry contacts, and other CIMA+ departments. Assist in supervision and management of electrical engineering team members (engineers, technicians, support staff). Evaluate technical work, delegate responsibilities, and provide instructions; recommend new hires, training, performance evaluation, and compensation. Prepare and respond to proposals in collaboration with the proposal team. Qualifications University degree in electrical engineering. Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO). Over 15 years' experience in electrical engineering in the buildings sector. Experience managing teams of professional engineers (asset). Knowledge of the consulting engineering market and clients in the Ottawa area (asset).
