Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the incumbent's main mandate will be to carry out the department's assembly activities, identify areas for improvement and take action. He/she will also act as a resource person for the machining department's B setter-operators and specialized operators when queries arise. 

In short, here's what you'll be doing with your time:

• Perform complete and more complex assembly activities on all machines and equipment (assembly of prototypes, acceptance parts or parts with already established assembly procedures).
• Make the necessary tool adjustments to ensure good part quality
• Master and execute machining programs (Code G and Mazatrol language) for all machines in the department.
• Create part measurement and probing programs
• Create assembly procedures from drawings, preliminary concepts, sketches and/or other data, or from inspection reports
• Identify areas for improvement (e.g. changes in programming measurements, etc.)
• Ensure that the first parts produced comply with the inspection plan, while respecting the right quotas according to the given times.
• Repair problem parts (restart).
• Carry out all checks and verifications mentioned in the inspection report and complete it.
• Provide ongoing training to the department's B operators and setter-operators on new work procedures and equipment, in order to update their skills.
• Contribute to process improvement (e.g. assembly time, production speed, stability, etc.)
