Transforming the Future with Convergence of Simulation and Data Maintenance Technical Lead Job Summary: Our client in Windsor, ON is looking for an Maintenance Technical Lead. This is a contract position. What You Will Do: The Maintenance Technical Lead responsibilities include but not limited to: Plan, coordinate, prioritize, assign, supervise, implement and review maintenance and repair activities to automotive testing equipment, facility equipment and buildings in support of ongoing operations. Oversee and direct the activities of a small multi-trade maintenance crew to complete required tasks in a safe and timely manner. Comply with the collective bargaining agreement, Canadian Electrical Code, TSSA, corporate policies and other applicable regulations in the organization and execution of maintenance activities. Develop maintenance strategies, programs and make improvements to existing policies. Troubleshoot automated testing system issues and determine corrective actions. Manage all aspects of environmental health and safety conformance for the skilled trades. Oversee a preventative maintenance program for automotive testing equipment and facilities. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and workforce availability. Maintain accurate hourly timekeeping records, vacation and time off requests. Point of contact for janitorial services contract. Perform environmental inspections and coordinate waste pickups. Procure parts, material and rentals required to complete maintenance tasks. Track data for performance measurable such as Preventative Maintenance task completion, overtime, etc. Maintain good supplier/customer relations with internal customers and outside suppliers. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of materials and equipment. Basics: Associate's degree. Certificate of Qualification as an electrician or an electrical engineering technologist (or equivalent). 5-10 years of troubleshooting automated equipment with preference to automotive assembly or automotive component testing would be a benefit. Experience in a unionized labour environment, 5 -10 years would be a benefit. Willingness to accept a wide variety of assignments. Knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Electrical Safety Code, OH&SA Regulations relating to industrial maintenance activities. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software, ability to learn and operate other computer based and web based programs. Strong project management, organizational, teamwork, written and verbal communication skills. Must have a valid driver's license. Willing to work weekends as required. Driving of a vehicle required. 100% onsite position. Preferred: Certificate of Qualification as an electrician or electrical engineering technologist (or equivalent) . Experience in a unionized labour environment. Computers skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and ability to use computer and web based software. Must have a valid driver's license. Willing to work weekends as required. 5-10 years of experience supervising maintenance activities in a construction or industrial environment.
