What’s a typical day as a Sanitation Supervisor? You’ll be:

• Supporting the Sanitation Manager for all aspects of Sanitation in support of our operations.

• Overseeing and evaluating effectiveness to meet all job requirements and ensure sanitation compliance with all Company and regulatory requirements.

• Directing Sanitation Lead Hands regarding staff and related work.

• Administering the Sanitation systems, including managing all paperwork/documentation related to QA, Safety, Environment, and other related areas for Sanitation programs.

• Training and developing Sanitation Staff in processes and procedures for safety and sanitation.

• Maintaining a safe working environment in compliance with MOL requirements for Sanitation throughout the facilities.

• Participating in Plant and Sanitation audits (internal & external) as required.

• Supervising, coaching, and monitoring Sanitation Staff in a non-unionized food manufacturing environment.

• Setting sanitation standards and SOPs.

• Managing pest control programs and waste disposal management programs.

• Ensuring compliance with GFSI standards and maintaining the highest standards for quality and customer service.


This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Sanitation Supervisor within a large automated multi-line Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) plant.

• Have experience in the food industry (bakery, meat, poultry, or seafood) and familiarity with Food Safety and related audit requirements.

• Possess knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and all relevant health and safety requirements.

• Education (college, tech school, etc.) preferred or years of Sanitation Supervisory experience with a local Canadian food processing manufacturer.

• Demonstrate a strong knowledge of Health & Safety and good manufacturing practices, including Food Safety and audit requirements.

• Have proficiency with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.

• Possess strong organizational and communication skills, troubleshooting abilities, process improvement skills, and mechanical aptitude.

• Have excellent written and communication skills in English (additional languages are an asset).

• Are proficient in Microsoft Applications or equivalent.

• Are action-oriented and a self-starter.
