Air Canada is presently looking for dynamic individuals to fill the permanent full-time positions of Aircraft Technicians or Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at our Ottawa Maintenance Centre. Responsibilities Perform airframe maintenance using correct tools, methods, techniques, and equipment. Read and understand various schematic diagrams for troubleshooting and use diagnostic tools and computers. Act as a team player, communicating clearly and maintaining a customer‑focused attitude in a demanding, high‑stress environment. Completed a recognized apprenticeship program and/or at least 4 years of industry‑related experience. Possession of a Transport Canada AME M2. Valid driver's license (mandatory). Successfully pass the pre‑employment qualifying exam, physical, and security check. Availability to work night, evenings, days, weekends, and holidays. Night shift is the permanent position for this posting; possibility to change with seniority. Pass and obtain an airside vehicle operator’s permit (mandatory). Possession of a restricted radio operator’s permit (aviation). Demonstrate punctuality and dependability in a fast‑paced environment. Obtain and maintain applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizations. Meet Air Canada medical standards, including drug and alcohol tests. Eligible to work in Canada; responsible for work permits/visas if required. Assets Endorsements on Air Canada aircraft types. Current security clearance. Linguistic Requirements Based on equal qualifications, preference will be given to bilingual candidates.
