Together we can continue to provide the level of sales and service excellence that made Leon's a leader in the industry.THE WAREHOUSE MANAGER-IN TRAINING (MIT) PROGRAM WILL HELP PREPARE YOU FOR THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensuring a smooth operation of a busy warehouse with several areas of responsibility, including shipping, and receiving, inventory, delivery, merchandising, packaging, and maintenanceManaging the warehouse teamEnsuring the accurate and secure handling of product; balancing a large inventoryOverseeing maintenance and ensuring safe operation of lift trucks, warehouse bins, delivery trucks, service vehicles and other equipmentTraining and people development; building a talent pool of future managersRecruitment: conducting interviews, hiring and onboarding; ensuring a positive, successful orientation process for new associatesEnsuring provincial legislative requirements are metCompleting, reviewing, and distributing warehouse reports regularlyResolving customer issues; ensuring safe delivery of productResolving customer issues and providing a positive, seamless service experienceEnsuring company policies and procedures are metEnsuring general safety and security of store, associates, and customersChairing Health and Safety committee and facilitating regular warehouse meetingsMaintaining open communication with all departments within the storeBeing available and approachable; supporting our team of associatesTeam development; creating an environment of teamwork, support and collaborationLiaising with home office to share feedback and access information; ensuring associates and managers have access to the information they need to perform their jobs effectively Managing daily store operations; ensuring company policies and procedures are metPreparing for and conducting effective and engaging meetings Supporting the General Manager and other department managersCompleting daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reportsOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSStrong leadership and people skills; leads by example Trains, develops and inspires other to succeedPeople-focused; a genuine desire to work with and help customers and associatesGoal-oriented Personal commitment to continued self-development; ambitious and eager to learn and growWillingness to relocate advantageous but not necessaryAnd most importantly, a POSITIVE ATTITUDEWHY LEON'S?On going training and development to ensure your success, including access to our internal training platform and extensive leadership development programsA fast-paced, dynamic, and fun environment with a great teamA generous employee discount programPartner discount programsAnnual Profit SharingIndividual and Family Benefits Plan OptionsONE SIMPLE CLICK COULD CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
