Overview Job Title: Quality Assurance Automation Developer Location: Edmonton, AB, Canada, T6H 5T6 • Hybrid (Primarily remote with onsite meetings) Employer: Rose International Employment Type: Temporary • Full-Time • Estimated Duration: 13 months Responsibilities Support and encourage the adoption of quality practices on teams and foster continuous improvement Support initiatives regarding reusable testing components/suites, the creation of test databases or the use of AI during testing Lead in ensuring the delivery of quality digital services: create and document test plans, test cases and test scripts; plan and execute system tests for functional and non-functional testing; perform regression, smoke, sanity, and exploration testing; API testing including security, performance, data validation, error handling, integration testing and standards compliance; mobile testing; cross-browser testing Lead in database testing: write SQL queries to validate data, verify data integrity, perform data conversion testing Manage automation that allows for rapid and frequent delivery: implement automated test suites; coordinate contributions Contribute to defect management and best practices: track defects with details and logs; create bug reports; ensure defects are fixed without introducing new issues Support a team in defining metrics for service quality: contribute to automated metrics collection and reporting Qualifications Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred Education: Master’s Degree Must Have Skills/Attributes: Computer Literacy, JIRA, Quality Assurance, SQL Experience Desired: Transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services (5 yrs); Experience using data analytic tools and methodologies to derive insights from data (4 yrs) Experience in a senior QA role on the same Agile project for at least two years (2 Years) Experience in planning, writing test cases, scripts, and executing functional testing manually (8 Years) Experience with API testing and implementing testing with CI/CD pipelines in a large-scale enterprise environment (5 Years) Experience with database testing including data conversion testing in a large-scale enterprise environment (8 Years) Experience with establishing and supporting automation test scripts in a large-scale enterprise environment (5 Years) Experience with non-functional testing including load testing, performance testing, usability testing, compatibility testing, security testing, and end-to-end testing (8 Years) Experience working as a senior QA on large-scale enterprise Agile projects with 15 or more team members (5 Years) Preferred Skills: Experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases (5 Years) Experience using data analytic tools and methodologies to derive insights from data (4 Years) Experience with Jira, Example Mapping and Dual-Track development (2 Years) Experience with leading a QA team with three (3) or more team members in a large-scale enterprise environment (3 Years) Experience with User Acceptance Testing processes on large, complex, multi-stakeholder environment (3 Years) Benefits For information and details on employment benefits offered with this position, please visit here.
