As a Buildings Engineering Intern for Summer 2027, you will contribute to structural projects with guidance from a collaborative project team. Assignments may cover commercial, institutional, and residential buildings, including new construction and existing structures. You will strengthen skills across design stages while becoming familiar with engineering plans and details.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with project teams on structural building designs
- Prepare drawings from preliminary stages through construction
- Visit existing buildings and document conditions
- Review projects under construction in the field
- Become familiar with engineering plans and details
Requirements:
- Third-year undergraduate or graduate engineering student standing
- Accredited Civil or Architectural Engineering structures program
- Steel or concrete design coursework, with one required
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software experience
- Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage multiple tasks
