Support prescription processing and customer service as a Pharmacy Assistant at a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store. Help customers promptly while protecting privacy.
This Pharmacy Assistant supports technical dispensing functions, pharmacy services, and daily Pharmacy operations. The work includes prescription data entry, refill processing, medication selection, billing, and customer communication. Clinical inquiries and counseling requests are referred to the pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to established standards
- Process new prescriptions and refill requests accurately
- Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
- Adjudicate third party billing and manage accounts
- Maintain dispensary cash registers and confidential records
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Pharmacy Assistant diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Effective organization and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
Bring accurate prescription workflow, organized administration, and respectful customer service to Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacy operations.
