Senior Software Engineer

Overview Owl.co empowers insurers to combat illegitimate claims on a large scale while eliminating human bias from the process. We are well-funded and have engineering offices in New York City, Toronto, and Vancouver. We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on infrastructure, and be proficient with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role involves collaborating with other engineers to ensure our infrastructure is robust, scalable, and secure. This role is 5 days per week onsite in one of our office locations. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable infrastructure solutions using AWS services Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of infrastructure Collaborate with software development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications Monitor and optimize infrastructure performance, scalability, and security Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues Implement best practices for security and compliance Participate in on-call rotation and incident management Qualifications 3-6 years of experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on infrastructure Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and VPC Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices Strong understanding of networking concepts, security principles, and cloud architecture Benefits Why join Owl?
