The position will provide services to the communities of Abbotsford, Chilliwack, and Mission. The Dermatologist will primarily handle outpatient and private community services and will also be expected to provide consulting services to inpatients at the community hospitals. Additionally, the Dermatologist is expected to obtain a Clinical Faculty appointment with the University of British Columbia and to provide supervision, mentorship, and teaching to medical trainees. Facilities Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre is a 280‑bed, University of British Columbia affiliated hospital offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, inpatient pediatrics, renal, cardiology, tertiary palliative care, helipad, and 24/7 emergency services with nearly 80,000 visits annually. It recently underwent a renovation of its Emergency Department, which now includes a dedicated area for mental health and substance use care, a new nursing substation, and a relocated ambulance bay. Chilliwack General Hospital Chilliwack General Hospital is a 169‑bed, University of British Columbia affiliated community hospital offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, psychiatry, and a regional eye centre, as well as 24/7 emergency services with nearly 62,000 visits annually. Mission Memorial Hospital Mission Memorial Hospital is a 50‑bed community hospital providing acute and ambulatory care and 24/7 emergency services with over 21,000 visits annually. Remuneration Compensation is fee‑for‑service. Qualifications The successful candidate must have full FRCPC certification and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia.
