Role and Facility Information Fraser Health is seeking physicians to work at Burnaby Hospital. The successful candidate(s) will be responsible for providing services including admission and management as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for unattached patients, as well as supportive care for surgical, medical specialty, and psychiatric patients. Burnaby Hospital is a community hospital committed to a culture of collaborative, inter‑professional team based care. Responsibilities Provide admission and management as MRP for unattached patients Offer supportive care for surgical, medical specialty, and psychiatric patients Participate in committee and administrative work Perform intake shifts in ER, evenings, weekends, and nights (rotated equally among group members) Contribute to quality improvement and leadership initiatives Qualifications Desire and ability to work collaboratively with inter‑professional teams, including physicians, nurses, and allied health staff Excellent clinical and communication skills Collegiality, enthusiasm, flexibility, and willingness to learn, improve, and adapt Experience in Hospitalist work an asset, but not required Interest in quality improvement and leadership an asset Terms Preference for full‑time; part‑time opportunities may be available. Weekend work is approximately 1 in 3. Intake shifts, evenings, weekends, and night shifts are mandatory and shared equally.
