This role involves comprehensive testing activities including manual and automated testing, developing test cases, and leading User Acceptance Testing sessions
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various types of testing such as integration, functional, regression, and accessibility testing, particularly in a public sector or government environment
This position requires a commitment of 10 months under a hybrid work arrangement, with three days of work at our office in Toronto and two days working remotely
The specialist will support help desk inquiries, collaborate with product teams to develop test strategies, execute testing activities, and ensure quality assurance across different testing phases
Additionally, the role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to maintain quality throughout the development lifecycle and supporting clients during User Acceptance Testing
Intermediate Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist - Mandatory Skills
10+ years of experience in developing and executing test cases and scripts for manual testing
Proficient in various types of testing including integration, unit, regression, functional, accessibility, and non-functional testing
Strong experience with User Acceptance Testing and leading initial UAT sessions
Working knowledge of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA)
Experience in testing Commercial off the Shelf Software (COTS/SaaS solutions), preferably Oracle Siebel Public Sector
Intermediate Systems Testing/Quality Assurance Specialist - Preferred Skills
Previous experience working in Government or Public Sector organizations is highly preferred
Familiarity with Public Sector applications, databases, and systems.
Experience working in accordance with policies and procedures of the Ontario Public Service
