Use hand tools and support shop production as a Production Labourer with FET Variperm, primarily on night shift. Handle materials safely.
Production Labourers support different departments through general shop tasks, material handling, and assistance for machine operators and welders. You will move materials indoors and outdoors, operate equipment under company procedures, and help maintain organized work areas. The position supports FET Variperm’s sand control engineering and completion tool operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general tasks assigned by the Supervisor
- Operate basic and powered hand tools
- Assist machine operators with setup activities
- Move materials using overhead hoists and forklifts
- Load, unload, stack, and unstack pipe
Requirements:
- Ability to lift 45 pounds without assistance
- Mechanical aptitude using hand or power tools
- Ability to follow oral and written English instructions
- Grade 12 basic math skills
- Forklift or overhead crane experience considered an asset
