Provide practical nursing services at Misericordia Health Centre in Winnipeg, using clinical judgment and prescribed treatment administration. This full-time position works in person across days, evenings, and weekends.
Under the Manager, Health Services, the Licensed Practical Nurse supports designated patients on the MP - 3rd Floor. Duties include independent nursing, care coordination, discharge participation, and healthcare team collaboration. The position requires current Manitoba registration, IV certifications, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide professional practical nursing services to designated patients
- Administer prescribed medical treatments according to requirements
- Collaborate and interact within the healthcare team
- Participate in patient care coordination and discharge
- Demonstrate the region's vision, values, goals, and objectives
Requirements:
- Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nursing Education program
- Maintain active College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba registration
- Hold IV Therapy and IV Medication Administration certification
- Meet employer CPR training requirements
- Demonstrate communication, prioritization, delegation, and problem-solving skills
Support patient care at Misericordia Health Centre through practical nursing, treatment administration, collaboration, and discharge coordination.
