The Director of the Global Partnership Program will develop and lead a team and strategy to enhance relationships and increase revenue with our top‑tier global customers. They will drive market and wallet share with our largest customer segment. By liaising with and nurturing strong, growth‑focused relationships with C‑suite executives from the world’s leading global freight forwarders, the Director will shape strategy while leading and coaching a robust team to achieve business growth, surpass sales targets, and meet strategic account objectives. The Director, Global Partnership Program collaborates across the branch and all geographies to represent the entire range of company solutions and services, while leading the customer account planning cycle and ensuring assigned customer needs and expectations are met by the company. Responsibilities Establish and nurture productive, professional relationships at all levels with key personnel and top‑level executives in key customer accounts and Global Freight Forwarders. Develop and communicate across all relevant branch stakeholders, the strategic sales & marketing plan for the partnership portfolio. Negotiate and manage global commercial agreements with global customers and independent Forwarder Associations. Develop strategy and business plans with the involvement of relevant company personnel, in order to meet the company’s performance objectives and customers’ expectations, including sales and incentive strategies. Monitor individual account performance across geographical, customer and solution lines, and develop specific tactical initiatives to build business. Proactively lead a joint company‑strategic account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for a one‑ and three‑year period. Collaboratively develop tools and programs to enhance customer experience through industry‑leading initiatives and customer focus groups and business insights. Provide relevant industry and customer specific information to assist in developing sales & marketing programs. Respond effectively to rapid changes in the marketplace by successful internal and external communication to ensure customer service and Air Canada revenue protection. Take appropriate action to highlight positive effects and mitigate possible negative impact. Prepare, budget, and coordinate arrangements as necessary for identified trade shows and industry conferences. Qualifications University degree in management or business administration (MBA) or equivalent. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a people management role. Solid management experience in leading multi‑stakeholder complex initiatives, with a proven track record of meeting deliverables on time and within budget. Previous experience managing multi‑location teams. Proven sales leadership skills and track record of meeting and surpassing sales targets. Excellent motivational leadership skills and a record of influencing positive change. Excellent verbal and communication skills. Ability to effectively manage and thrive under pressure and complexity of various situations, and advance positively and productively under conditions of resistance to change or uncertainty. Proven track record of influencing senior leadership and cross‑functional partners. Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast‑paced environment.
