Overview Summer Student – Business Advisor Support role located at #302, Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T5M 2N4. Department: Pinnacle Business Services Ltd. Position Type: Full-Time (Summer Term). About the Role Pinnacle Business Services Ltd., in partnership with Rupertsland Institute and utilizing the Summer Student Grants , is seeking a Metis summer student who is motivated and detail oriented. The candidate must be entering their 3rd or 4th year of post-secondary studies in Business, Finance or a related field to support our team. You’ll gain valuable, real-world experience working alongside our Advisors as we help Indigenous entrepreneurs develop and grow their businesses. What You’ll Do Assist in developing business plans and financial projections for clients Support the analysis of financial statements and budget data Help Advisors prepare documents for client meetings and funding applications Conduct research on market trends, industry data and program requirements Assist in client follow-ups and aftercare support Maintain accurate records in our client database Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing projects Perform other administrative and support duties as needed Who You Are A current student in a Bachelor’s program in Business, Finance or Administration (entering into 3rd or 4th year) This position is funded through a program intended to support Métis youth employment. As such, applicants must be of Métis ancestry (Metis Nation of Alberta) and eligible under the funding guidelines Interested in Indigenous business development and entrepreneurship Skilled in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word) A strong communicator – both written and verbal Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks Comfortable working independently and as part of a team Experience working with Indigenous communities or clients is an asset What We Offer Full-time, paid summer position (37.5 hours/week) at $20/hr Mentorship from experienced Business Advisors Opportunity to build professional skills in business planning, finance and client service #J-18808-Ljbffr
