Chef Production Manager (Experience in cooking needed) Join the Dexterra team. Dexterra has been serving Canadian clients for over 75 years, now part of the Dexterra Group, supporting infrastructure and built assets. We are looking for a Production Manager reporting to the Plant Manager to oversee operations of the Modular Manufacturing Plant, managing production, materials, quality, safety, and team development. Responsibilities Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the modular manufacturing division. Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour, and equipment to meet production targets. Plan and manage plant and departmental budgets and production schedules. Run pre‑production meetings to ensure strong communication amongst all production teams. Ensure an inventory of raw materials and finished products is maintained. Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work. Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines. Develop team members by supporting professional development, providing regular feedback to promote best practices, and completing annual performance reviews. Plan hiring needs, supervise and train employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques to obtain an efficient workflow. Monitor and manage employee relations in combination with HR, including absenteeism, complaints, and policy compliance. Qualifications Preferred completion of a university program in Business/Commerce, Civil Engineering, or a college diploma in Construction Technology. 5 to 10 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role; experience in a modular construction/production environment is an asset. Ability to develop subordinates’ skills and encourage growth. Above‑average computer knowledge, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines. Diligent in ensuring the health and safety of self and co‑workers.
