Maintenance and Reliability Engineer

Job Type: Regular Company and Role Agropur is looking for a Maintenance and Reliability Engineer to join our Don Mills team. In collaboration with the management team, the Maintenance and Reliability Engineer ensures the site's progress in Maintenance & Reliability. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability by analyzing failures and site practices, supporting production equipment modifications, reporting on KPIs, analyzing reliability problems, and helping to evolve the site's proactive maintenance maturity. The engineer also ensures a safe working environment and supports quality and food safety requirements. Collaborate to monitor and improve MTBF and production equipment. Ensure progress of the asset health management program and implementation of maintenance strategies. Define and deploy PdM and CBM technologies on critical equipment and provide related training. Adjust maintenance plans based on asset failure data analysis. Define training needs for maintenance personnel as part of skills management. Collaborate with continuous improvement triads regarding reliability issues. Work with engineers to support reliability in equipment design. Assist in analyzing reliability of proposed equipment modifications. Review purchase specifications for new equipment in terms of reliability and maintainability. Recommend improvements to machine performance and reliability based on process and failure data analysis. Perform statistical analyses on machine failure data and work order closure codes. Provide technical support to maintenance supervisors, planners, and employees with specific technical data on system configuration and performance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. 3-5 years of experience in reliability, preferably in the food industry. Experience working in a unionized environment (asset). Technical and practical knowledge of manufacturing production equipment. Knowledge of best practices in maintenance reliability. Familiarity with CMMS software and MS Office. Certification such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP), CRL, MMP, AM, or equivalent (asset). Agropur welcomes people from all backgrounds and origins.
