Volunteer Supervisor - Swimmingly MB Brandon Organizational Description: Manitoba SwimAbility – Brandon Chapter is a registered not-for-profit organization that provides affordable one‑on‑one swim instruction and water safety skills to children with disabilities of all ages and abilities. Volunteer Opportunity Details Description of Duties: Swimmingly MB is a community aquatics program serving Manitoba, with operations in Brandon. We’re looking for a Volunteer Supervisor to help coordinate our Sunday evening swim sessions. In this role, you will: Organize and support volunteers to ensure each swimmer has assistance during class Communicate with parents, including managing payments, consent forms, and attendance Help ensure every class runs smoothly and efficiently Collaborate with instructors and program leads to support a positive learning environment Skills Required: Strong organizational and communication skills Comfort interacting with parents, volunteers, and youth participants Interest in aquatics or community recreation is an asset Skills Gained / Related Careers: Leadership and coordination experience Event and volunteer management Communication and customer service skills Related fields: Recreation Management, Education, Kinesiology, Aquatics, Non‑Profit Administration Age: 16‑17, 18‑30, 31‑54, 55+ Time Commitment: Evening, Weekend 2.5 hours per week (Sunday evenings) October–December and January–April (aligned with the academic calendar, 11 weeks per session) Location of volunteer opportunity: Brandon Does opportunity require a criminal record check? Yes Does opportunity require a child abuse registry check? Yes Will cost be reimbursed? Yes Opportunity is available to candidates that: Fulfilling volunteer hours for school credit; Uses a mobility device; French speaking / Bilingual (French and English).
