You need (essential for the job) Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following Graduation from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the duties of the position. Completion of technical training through an apprenticeship (or equivalent) in a ship repair related trade. Military equivalent experience achieved at the relevant QL6 Hull Tech training Level Experience in ship systems and ship repair Experience in maintenance and testing of hull systems such as but not limited to piping, Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), domestic fresh water distribution, fire fighting equipment, galley appliances, sewage or other habitability systems Experience in reading and interpreting ship systems, construction and design drawings and technical publications Experience in developing or interpreting detailed work specifications to carry out corrective maintenance and trials with reporting on subsequent defects Applied / assessed at a later date Demonstrating integrity and respect in a diverse and inclusive environment Thinking things through Working effectively with others Showing initiative and being action-oriented Communication Language requirements (essential for the job) May be applied / assessed at a later date Experience in the field of military equipment repair and/or overhaul Experience in welding and metal fabrication Experience in ship structure Experience in submarine materiel certification policy and processes Experience in Class Society application to naval platforms Experience in Integrated Logistical Support and Supportability specific to marine platforms Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning system such as Defence Resource Management Information Systems (DRMIS) Experience in working with a multi-disciplinary team in the conduct of technical activities Our commitment We're committed to providing an inclusive and barrier-free work environment, starting with the hiring process.
