Senior Mechanical Engineer – AON3D Join to apply for the Senior Mechanical Engineer role at AON3D in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Base pay range: CA$80,000.00/yr – CA$140,000.00/yr. Responsibilities Design, plan, prototype, and validate mechanical systems (e.g., linear motion, electromechanical, thermal). Design for manufacturing (machined parts, sheet metal parts). Assist product and engineering teams in the certification process. Collaborate with design, supply chain, production, product, and customer‑care teams to ensure system performance and reliability. Help create user‑friendly documentation of mechanical systems operation and diagnostic requirements in conjunction with technical writing and product personnel. Develop and execute component‑level and system‑level test/validation plans. Stay up‑to‑date with current developments in additive manufacturing technology and understand how the machines work on a deep level. Requirements Degree in mechanical engineering. 2+ years of relevant experience with low or medium volume production. Familiarity with product certification and compliance (e.g., CE, ETL, TUV, CSA, UL). Ability to use common inspection equipment, tools, and gauges to assess quality and viability of product. Experience with Solidworks or similar CAD software. Experience with PLM/document control systems. Excellent organizational skills. Bilingual (French/English written and spoken). Nice‑to‑Haves 3D printing experience. Experience working with contract manufacturers. Experience in control systems, system design, and power electronics (e.g., stepper motors, heaters).
