We are committed to ensuring fairness and inclusivity by relying on the expertise from a team of professional recruiters for the application reviews, interviews, and qualification assessments.ResponsibilitiesPlans and prioritizes work to meet client requirements and aligned with organizational goals Provide engineering design expertise to deliver work scopes in line with company policies and procedures Provide support to the business development process to identify and win new work Prepare and maintain estimates and schedules Drive elimination of technical incidents through robust controls, incident reviews and embedding lessons learned in engineering design procedures Assisting continuous improvement of design systems and tools required by the discipline to deliver cost effective and competitive design execution Maintain and assist in identifying scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures Review and check work output of discipline assigned personnel, as required Ensure Health and Safety and environmental regulations are followed methodically QualificationsTechnical diploma from a post-secondary institution 5+ years of experience in the Power Utility, Mining / Industrial and / or Renewable Energy sectors considered an asset Experience with AutoCAD and 3D Modelling packages would be an asset Solid knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, Canadian electric utility industry practices, CSA Standards and Local Codes Experience with LV, MV and HV applications would be an asset Attention to detail and pride in work quality Excellent verbal, written communication skills Strong client focus Resourceful team player with self-starter aptitude Current authorization to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood is required About UsWood is a global leader in consulting and engineering, helping to unlock solutions to critical challenges in energy and materials markets.
