About the Role

The primary role of the Project Developer is to work collaboratively with the Preconstruction team and provide support in preparing preliminary designs, detailed estimates, and client-facing proposals for a broad variety of project opportunities related to architectural walls and ceilings. They are a versatile junior professional with skills in digital modeling, estimating, proposal writing, research, and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with internal Estimating, Sales, Project Management, Design, and Production teams.
  • Receives direction and can work independently to complete tasks.
  • Builds, maintains tracking sheets, databases, and information logs.
  • Interprets drawings, renderings, and specifications to define project parameters.
  • Designs preliminary project solutions based on varying degrees of information and assumptions.
  • Research products, materials, and technologies.
  • Sources vendors, gathers quotes, and consults with in-house assets to determine accurate project costs.
  • Prepares cost estimates and budgets for projects with values ranging from $10,000 to $10,000,000 within 2 to 10 days.
  • Identify cost drivers and recommend opportunities for savings.
  • Collates work from multiple sources into detailed, client-facing proposals.
  • Review project bid requirements and Maxxit proposals to ensure the company is best represented in terms and conditions.
  • Learn product offerings, features, and applications.
  • Stay updated on innovations for effective advising.
  • Understand metal fabrication processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Learn and apply the company's specific project enhancement methods.
  • Additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Interior Design, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in design, fabrication, construction, or a related field.
  • Well organized, task-oriented with strong attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Easily adapts to shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in 3D digital modelling - Rhino3D preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
