Prioritize and manage development tasks to meet project timelines Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term strategies for the Access Control team, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the AEC Construction division Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, including code quality, testing, deployment, and monitoring Cross-functional Collaboration: Build trust and work closely with other engineering teams, DevOps, and QA to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software products Customer Focus: Advocate for the end-users by ensuring that the team’s output results in a secure and intuitive user experience Minimum QualificationsEducational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Technical Experience: At least 7-10 years of professional software development experience, with a focus on backend development Strong proficiency in Node.js and PostgreSQL Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of engineering management experience, leading teams of similar size and complexity Domain Knowledge: Understanding of permission management and authorization systems, especially within the context of large-scale applications Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
