We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join HOBART UK and HOBART Service on a full-time, fixed-term contract. This is a key role responsible for shaping and delivering a fit-for-purpose Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) strategy across the business. You’ll lead the development and execution of our HSE strategy, embedding a strong safety culture while supporting operational excellence across office, manufacturing and field-based teams. Be part of a global Fortune 300 organisation Take ownership of a business-critical HSE role Work in a hybrid, flexible environment Influence senior leaders and shape long-term safety culture Join a business that values integrity, trust, respect and simplicity What You’ll Be Responsible For As Health & Safety Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Developing, implementing and continuously improving the Health & Safety Management System Ensuring full compliance with UK H&S legislation and industry best practice Maintaining and improving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, aligned within the ISO 9001 framework Leading audits, inspections and assurance programmes across the business Measuring, analysing and reporting HSE performance against internal and external benchmarks Championing a Safety-First culture across all departments Advising on safe systems of work, risk assessments and method statements Supporting and delivering HSE training, inductions, toolbox talks and incident investigations Acting as the primary HSE contact for regulators, local authorities and insurers Representing HOBART UK at ITW EU divisional and governance forums Supporting contractor schemes, external accreditations and commercial submissions Managing HSE eLearning platforms and compliance tracking Conducting site visits, audits and training activities as required This is a hybrid role combining office-based work with regular site visits. Who We’d Love to Speak to We’d love to speak to you if you have: A degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health or a related discipline NEBOSH Diploma or IOSH Level 6 Diploma in OSH Leadership Proven H&S experience within manufacturing, engineering or similar environments Strong working knowledge of UK H&S legislation Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify hazards and implement controls Confident communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels A full UK driving licence Experience with permitting processes (advantageous) Key Skills & Attributes Leadership & Management Ability to design and deliver a business-aligned HSE strategy Strong planning, data analysis and problem-solving skills Confidence leading change and influencing senior stakeholders Interpersonal Collaborative, approachable and professional Strong stakeholder management and consultation experience Commitment to diversity, equality and inclusion Communication Clear, confident written and verbal communication Experience producing reports and delivering presentations Ability to inspire high safety standards with empathy and integrity Your Package Pay : Up to £60,000.00 per year Contract: Full-time, fixed term (6–12 months) Working for HOBART UK & HOBART Service UK comes with its benefits: Company car and on-site parking Generous pension and pension life assurance scheme with employer contributions of up to 11% 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Wellbeing initiatives and support including our Employee Assistance Programme Educational assistance What Are You waiting For?
